Introduction - there's another Hero in the making ...

In a previous blog I mentioned that in the bustling world of 1988, in a town called Mullingar in Ireland, a vision was born that would change the lives of countless learners. This is the story of our business, initially Lir Secretarial Services, then Lir Business Services & Training Centre.  This is a place where dreams are nurtured and futures are forged. But this story isn't just about us—it's about you, the Learner, you, the hero of this journey, BUT there is another unsung hero - our Learning Management System - Zenler!

What I wanted as an Online Course Creator ...

As a course creator, my goal was to deliver high-quality educational content seamlessly. I needed a platform that could manage content creation, learner engagement, marketing, and community building all in one place. I wanted to focus on teaching and interacting with my learners without being bogged down by technical details or multiple disparate tools. I also had to ensure that this system met the criteria and standards required to run Blended Online and Fully Online Courses for QQI (Quality Qualifications Ireland) awards recognised on the N.F.Q. (National Framework of Qualifications) in keeping with our agreed Quality Assurance Policies and Procedures as a Private Training Provider.

What I needed essentially was:

• Courses - a place to build our courses.
• Assignment - this is where learners could submit their coursework for feedback and then upload their final submissions for marking at the end of their course.
  
• Zenler Zoom - I use Microsoft Teams for 'Live' Tutor-led classes but find 'Live' Tutor support calls or course inductions using Zenler Zoom very useful too
• Landing pages to promote any offers and other services
• Email marketing - this is essential to keep in contact with your Learners
• Blogs - to share my knowledge and other areas that relate to the courses we run.
• Freebies - opportunity to give free resources to learners who sign up on our website
• Zenler App for Mobile - handy for learners who want to study on-the-go and can then go back to their laptop and progress from where they left off.
  
• Secure payments - through Paypal and Stripe on the Zenler platform.
  

Online Courses I had to offer at Level 5 and Level 6 ...

• QQI 5M2468 Business Administration Major Award (comprising of 8 modules)
• QQI 6M4985 Business Advanced Major Award (comprising of 8 modules)
• QQI 6S3372 Training & Development Award (comprising of 2 modules with optional others)

Zenler promised a holistic solution, integrating all these functionalities under one roof. This was precisely what I needed to turn my educational aspirations into reality, allowing me to prioritise the Learner experience over administrative hassles.
